Harrods is the biggest department store in London, England .t started in 1834 when Charles Harrods opened a small shop selling
fruit ,vegetables and tea. In a short time ,shoppers from all over London started coming to the shop. Harrods grew bigger and
bigger ,and in 1985 the store was sold to an Egyptian businessman. Then in 2010 Qatar Holding bought it.
Today Harrods has got 330 department that sell many products including clothes ,sports equipment, jewels, food and drink. There are
also 28 restaurants and a bank. More than 300 000 people shop at Harrods on busy days and around 5 000 people from 50 countries
work in the building.
Harrods is one of the most famous landmarks in London. It offers a unique shopping experience and is a must for any sightseeing
tourist.
