The egg came first, laid by a bird that was not quite a chicken. The chicken
was laid by a prehistoric bird that was not quite a chicken. This bird may
have gradually evolved overtime with small genetic mutations and
adaptations leading to the development of the modern chicken.
So we know chickens evolved from dinosaurs at the start of the timeline
90/66 million years ago.Charles Darwin proposed that chickens descended
from the Red Jungle fowl 7000 years ago in Southeast Asia and oceana, a
colorful tropical bird in the pheasant family. Red jungle fowl are wild
chicken. Compared to a chicken nowadays, the red Jungle fowl is 43 to 80
centimeters in length smaller. The egg came first, because if there had
been no egg, there would have been no chicken.
