1. What/ who do you is the most important factor that a teacher should consider in
preparing learning materials? Why? Explain your answer.

“Things will be easier if you know how to handle it.” Being in the field of teaching is one of
the most overwhelming paths that a person could take. There are lots of responsibilities and
considerations to think about. From the moment that you enter the classroom, you have the
lessons, strategies, activities, and materials that you need to cater all the needs of your learners.
But all those things were planned based on the needs, abilities, and knowledge of every learner.
Especially in preparing the materials or teaching aids in teaching teachers consider all these
factors; the curriculum, syllabus, learning competencies, pedagogical principles, societal
demands, and the learners. Among all the given factors the learners are the most important factor
to be considered in preparing learning materials.

In a particular classroom without any specific level, teachers might encounter different types
of learners who have diverse needs, abilities, aptitudes, and knowledge. Each learner has their
way of grasping the lessons. There are types of learners who learn through visuals, auditory,
tactile, and many more. Basically, in preparing learning materials, teachers must consider the
different learning styles of every learner because in the first-place teachers prepare the learning
materials for students. Therefore, teachers must develop adequate learning materials that would
cater the needs of all learners because the more the teachers consider individual differences,
needs, interests, readiness, and learning styles in preparing learning materials, the learners will
become more productive and active participants.

To sum it up, “Everyone is special in their way, we’re not the same, we’re different in a good
way” and every learner has different strategies on how they will acquire the information or adjust
to their learning environment. Therefore, as future educators, we are expected to put our learners
at the center of everything because we cannot deny the fact that our learners are our primary
stakeholders as they are the reason why we create and prepare learning materials.
