1.

One of the crisis of the Philippine education is the lack of conducive and safe for
learning classrooms and facilities. Unconducive learning environment would definitely
affect student academic performance. Having a well ventilated and safe classrooms
is a factor in achieving quality education for all. The school is considered as social
space where education takes place, training and personality development of children
who are future assets of our community are molded. It can be seen that many
primary schools do not have sufficient classroom blocks, library facilities, equipped
laboratories and instructional materials etc. Here unconducive environment is
determined by poor state of school environment. This includes inadequate
classrooms, inadequate desks and chairs for learning, nearly collapsed and
dilapidated building, inadequate staff room, and other structural abnormalities seen in
the school system this are among the factors that hinders productivity in the
development of practical skill acquisition by the students.

Given the lack of conducive and safe for learning classrooms and facilities, the
project that I see would help in this educational crisis is to facilitate community and
stakeholders involvement in the development of safe and conducive learning
environment for students. The project will center on the improvement and
construction of facilities and classrooms that would ensure conducive learning. In the
process of implementing this project, it is also best to cater to the needs of the
teacher who in one way or another dedicate their lives in ensuring quality education
for student. We need to ensure that all teachers are equipped with what they need to
teach effectively such as educational materials that will be used for learning.
Providing quality education requires building systems that delivers learning that is
why it is very important to facilitate involvement and participation of different
stakeholders in building a safe and conducive learning environment for students.

2. As the profession that I took part of, I certainly believe in the worth and dignity of
man especially those marginalized and disadvantaged Filipino people in our
community. That what they need is someone who would stand with them to alleviate
their living condition and enhance well-being and that they are worthy to be help. I
am really inclined with the philosophy of RAFI which is the “Bugsay”. I am a firm
believer that every person has its goals and aspirations in life and that we are in a
journey towards a better and breathable future. Filipino people need a helping hand
and a compassionate heart to truly realize their potentials and resources which can
be a means in reaching their goals. I too had fair share of sufferings battling with
limited resources while pursuing my goals, but I see to it that I have enough optimism
in seeing my situation as a challenge of becoming a source of hope for someone
who’s battling life challenges. That despite my sufferings in life and the things I had
been through while reaching my goals I still believe in myself and trust in my mission
which is to be a source of hope for those marginalized and disadvantaged Filipino
people. In addition, I certainly believed in the power of human resource as a team
and a tool for helping people in need by paddling together as one.
