The bar graph depicts how frequent the people in the USA consumed meals in the fast food

restaurants from 2003 to 2013.

The bar graph gives information on how often consumers ate in fast food restaurants on the
following bases: everyday, several times a week, once a week, once or twice a month, a few times a
year, and never.

Overview?

Overall, it is clear that people in the USA mostly prefer to eat in fastfood restaurants once a week or
once or twice a month while those who eat everyday or never ate there remained significantly low.
It is also evident that Americans ate less frequently in these restaurants by the end of the 10-year
period.

It is very remarkable that in the year 2003, 31% of people in the country ate in fast food restaurants
once per week. It rose by 2% in 2006 and declined by 6% in 2013. Based on the graph, it was
followed by once or twice a month which has a 30% of the people in 2003, 25% in 2006, and 33% in
2013. On the other hand, people who ate everyday and those who never ate in fast food restaurants
remained low for 10-year period ranging from 3% to 5% only.

Some people think that it is more beneficial to take part in sports which are played in teams, like
football, while others think that taking part in individual sports, like swimming, is better.

Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Taking part in different kind of sports will benefits us in different aspects in our lives. Whether the
sports are played by team or solo, we can surely gain lots of advantages in either way. In sports,
people have their own preferences, some may opt to play individually or be with other players due
to their own reasons.

Playing sports participated by more than one player like basketball, football and volleyball greatly
relies on teamwork and individual cooperation. Hence, this kind of sports involve interactions with
the team and opposing team. The benefits of this type of sports mainly are building our physical
strength, keeping our body healthy, and helps and trains our mind to focus. But what separates
these sports from the other one is that players are able to interact and socialize with one another. In
here, players may develop good leadership and collaboration, and even good camaraderie may be
formed in this type of sports.

Similarly, Individual sports like swimming, running and golf involves also building our physical
strength, making us healthy and helps our mind focus. However, these sports make individual’s
development of self-reliance, and therefore, winning and failure are solely up to one’s selves. As a
result, players who indulged themselves to individual greatly gains self-confidence and be self-
reliant.

In conclusion, there are differing views on whether individual sports are better than team sports, but
I believe that playing these kind of sports have their own benefits and does not outweigh each other.
Both kind of sports develops certain aspects in each individual in different ways. Also, it is up to the
individual’s preferences and reasons of what benefits they want to build or attain.
