2. Aside from the specimen that you have observed using the microscope,

what other things that we can observe using the microscope?

Activity 1
Using the given list of the parts of levels of organization in an organism, the
teacher will let the students arrange it from which they think is the lowest up to the
highest level-part. This activity won’t stop unless they get the correct order of the
hierarchy.

Activity 2 (Group Activity)

In this activity, the class will be divided into four (4) groups. Each group will be
given 1/8 illustration board, a chalk, and cloth for erasure. The teacher will show
different kinds of cells, tissue, organ, organ system, and organism. Then the
students will write the answer based on what is the name of the organization. An
example will be given by the teacher before the students will answer. Ten (10)
minutes will be allotted to finish the activity.

Levels of Biological Organization

1. Cell – the smallest fundamental unit of structure and function in living organisms.
2. Tissue – is a group of similar cells carrying out similar and related functions.
3. Organ – is a collection of tissues grouped together performing a common function.
4. Organ System – consists of functionally related organs.
5. Organism – is an individual living entity that is composed of different organ systems
which work together to sustain life.
6. Population – organisms of the same species that live in the same habitat at the
same time collectively.
7. Community – is the sum of populations of different organisms in a specific area
with the same environmental conditions that interact with one another in order for
each individual to live.
8. Ecosystem – consists of all the living things in a particular area together with the
abiotic, non-living parts pf the environment.
9. Biosphere – is the collection of all ecosystems and it is the highest level of
biological organization.

The teacher will ask this question:

1. How do these parts work together in an organism?
