ASSIGNMENT FOR SUMMER HOLIDAYS

Dear Parents,
“When learning is purposeful, creativity blossoms. When
creativity blossoms, thinking emanates. When thinking
emanates, knowledge is fully lit. When knowledge is lit,
economy flourishes.”
Thoughts of summer vacation conjure up relaxing images with no thought of
classes or the stress of exams. Though it’s easy to get caught in the thrill of
decreased responsibility, yet the key is to use the holidays most productively, for
present and future benefits.
The school holidays provide an excellent opportunity to consolidate your
learning and work on areas which you are weaker in. Some amount of
revision and consolidation of learning will help you to be better prepared for the
next stage of learning when you return after the summer vacations. Homework will reinforce your learning,
contribute to your progress, and cultivate a healthy disposition towards learning to master different concepts
and skills, and apply them to different contexts. Besides, there are plenty of productive ways you can spend
your summer that can be fun, relaxing, and helpful for your education and career.
Summer is the best time to give yourself permission to read for pleasure. It’s great to read books that are
wonderful escapes to leave you rejuvenated and intrigued. Reading will de-stress you, while dramatically
improving your language and vocabulary. The school desires you to adhere to the following guidelines for a
fulfilling break.

the quality of work done.
➢ Holiday homework will be assessed on certain parameters and marks/grade will be awarded
