For the Learner:
Welcome to the English 3 Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM)
Module on Using Plural of Regular Nouns by Adding /s/ or /es/!
This module is a lesson about using plural of regular nouns by
adding /s/ or /es/ to the end of the singular. Nouns form their
plural in different ways. Most nouns form their plural by adding -s
to the words like dog-dogs. But not all nouns may be pluralized by
adding -s. Some nouns follow different rule to form their plural.
Nouns ending in s, ss, sh, ch, x, and z form the plural by adding -es
to the words. The nouns lenses, wishes, benches, taxes, and buzzes
are nouns in plural form.
This module was designed to provide you with fun and meaningful
opportunities for guided and independent learning at your own
pace and time. You will be enabled to process the contents of
the learning resource while being an active learner.
NOTE:
Use the module with care. Do not put unnecessary mark/s on any
part of the module. Use a separate sheet of paper in answering
the activities.

What I Need to Know

This module provides activities that will help you how to make
regular nouns into plural. The activities provided will teach you
more about the rules in making regular nouns plural.

Learning plural nouns will help you use the right word in
speaking, reading, and writing.
It will also widen your vocabulary as you learned new words
which will help you think and learn about the world.

1. distinguish between singular and plural nouns;

2. make regular nouns plural by adding -s or -es;
