Quality Council of India (QCI) is looking for a Head-HR. The incumbent will oversee HR for QCI
(including its boards and divisions). QCI was set up in 1997 jointly by the Government of India
and the Indian Industry represented by the three premier industry associations i.e., Associated
Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), Confederation of Indian Industry
(CII) and Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), to establish and
operate national accreditation structure and promote quality through National Quality Campaign.
QCI is registered as a not-for-profit society with its own Memorandum of Association and Rules
& Regulations. The Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce &
Industry, is the nodal ministry for QCI.
National Quality Campaign aims at promoting quality by enabling manufacturers and suppliers of
goods/ services to apply quality standards and tools and simultaneously empowering consumers
to demand quality goods/services. The promotion of quality encompasses all segments including
manufacturing, health, education and public services.
The role would entail driving HR Strategy & policies, Talent Acquisition, , Talent development and
Employee Life Cycle Management across QCI.
Experience: Leading the HR function or holding a responsible HR position with around 10 years
of experience in a medium/large enterprise
The Head- HR will serve as part of the middle level leadership team at QCI & will report to top
Leadership of the organisation. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, developing and
implementing company-wide initiatives and strategies that support personnel acquisition and
management, talent development, employee life cycle management, staff welfare and
transformation of HR processes.
The Head-HR is expected to be an enterprise-wide thinker who works collaboratively with other
senior leaders in supporting system change & management initiatives. Additionally, he/ she will be
responsible for developing HR’s strategic plan, assuring alignment of Training & Development for
senior professionals in QCI. Overall accountability for HR system performance and ensuring
compliance with labour laws and policies.
The Head- HR will set direction for company-wide recruitment, retention, and succession strategies;
organizational development and training initiatives; compensation; performance management;
employee relations; and the management of HR best practices. Areas currently under the role will
include: compensation, executive recruitment; reward & recognition, employee wellness, employee
and organizational development; system & organization wide health and safety; experiential learning
for senior leaders in QCI, HR reporting, analytics and workforce strategic planning.
