DIVERSION INTER- COLOR BASKETBALL LEAGUE 2022

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. The tournament will have 2 divisions

*Junior ( 20years old below)

*Senior (21 years old and above)

2. Team that have been found to have violated eligibility rules or had committed any
violation will be meted disqualifications. All division will be disqualified during the whole
duration of the tournament.

3. Each team in each division must be composed of not more than 15 players. A
minimum of 5 players is needed to play the game.

4. Each team must provide the tournament organizer a voters certificate or marriage
certificate.

5. Team and schedule games must be within premises of the basketball court 20
minutes before the schedule time of the game. Atleast 5 players from each team must
present in the playing court at the start of the game. A team that cannot comply with
minimum numbers of player shall be declared in default after the lapse of 20 minutes
grace period. These apply the 1st schedule game.

6. No players shall be allowed to play in any schedule game if he is under the influence
of probihited drugs. Anybody found violating this particular rule is automatically banned
for the entire duration of the tournament. Anyone found under the influence of drink
with alcohol content shall be also suspended.

7. Players who will involve in fistfights deliberate international foul such as striking by
hand, kicking, and or/ trippings his fellow players shall be dealt with strong warning or
immediate ejection from the game. Any repetition of this action shall be ground for
disqualifications for the entire tournament, players not involve in such incident who
enter the court will be ejected from the game and automatic one (1) game suspension.
* Players must confine themselves in the bench until the final buzzer. A disqualified
players or any who leaves the playing court without proper permission from the
officials will penalized with a “ONE GAME SUSPENSION”.
*Proper conduct on the part of the coaches and players shall always observed.
Any violation shall penalized with a “ONE GAME SUSPENSION” (i.e. use of foul,
malicious words and insulting the officials)

8. No teams will be allowed to change their line up after the deadline of the submission
of line up has lapsed.

9. No palyers will be allowed to play if he is not wearing the complete uniform ( JERSY
AND RUBBER SHOES).

10. In case of protest involving the technicalities of the game, only the team captain or
coach of the team shall be entertained by the technical committee, provided that such
protest is done in courteous manner. All technical protest must be submitted in written
form within 24 hours from the termination of the said game.

11. Changes in the scheduled of games/rules regulations is under the prerogative of the
Technical Committee / Commissioner, but with consultations among participating
teams.
GENERAL RULES
A. Rights and responsibilitites of participatings teams:
 Must now and understand official rules of basketball and abide by them.
 Must accept referee’s decisions
 Must accept observe proper conduct and uphold the spirit of sportsmanship
B. Team Captain
 He represents the team during toss coin before the start of the game.
 During the match, he represent his team for any clarifications on application of
rules.
 After the match, sign the score sheer to ratify the outcome and if he previously
expressed any disagreement to the results of the game, he may confirm it by
recording it on the score sheet.
C. The Coach
 Prior to the start of the game, he gives the line-up dully filled in and signed to the
table officials
 During the match, he may give instructions to his players on the court but only while
sitting on the bench or within the restricted area for coaches, without disrupting of
delaying the match.
D. Officials
 The tournament/league shall be handled by referees, who shall be deciede on all
technicalities.
 Referees decision is final.
 Judgment calls made by the referees can never be contested/disregarded.
E. Commissioners of the tournament
 Commissioner has the right to amend, revise, interpret and supplement documents
signed by him and which shall be form an integral part of the ground rules with
immediate effect.
