Process Description

The first step in the submission process was choosing which piece of writing to submit. I
selected a short story that I had written about a dog and his human living in a city that has
become polluted and corrupt. I was looking for a publisher that would be interested in this
type of story and that had a focus on environmental and social issues.
During the research process, I searched for publishers that fit these criteria and considered
factors such as the type of content they typically publish, their submission guidelines, and
their target audience. I also made sure to read through their publications to get a sense of
their style and tone. The most challenging part of the research process was sifting through
the many options and deciding on the best fit for my writing.
Once I had chosen a publisher, I prepared my manuscript for submission by carefully
reviewing their guidelines and making any necessary revisions to ensure that it met their
requirements. This included formatting the document in the appropriate font and layout and
double-checking that I had included all necessary materials, such as a cover letter and a
synopsis of the story.
Through this process, I learned the importance of researching potential publishers carefully
and being mindful of their submission guidelines. I also gained experience in the process of
submitting my writing for publication and gained confidence in my ability to do so in the
future. Overall, I found the submission process to be a rewarding and valuable experience,
and I will definitely consider submitting my writing again in the future.
