1. Course Description

Proceeding from its Jesuit, Catholic, and Filipino identity as a university, the course on Ignatian Leadership for Managers and
Entrepreneurs centers on the vision-mission of the Ateneo de Davao University in appropriating the mission of the Society of Jesus
and the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola through the formation of ADDU sui generis leaders.

This AdDU sui generis leaders are formed based on the core values and fundamental principles of the Ignatian Spirituality as
constitutive to the philosophy of Jesuit higher education. For a greater appreciation of the course, students are immersed into a
rigorous study and reflection of the Ignatian principles and values. Also, they are guided to juxtapose the Ignatian model of leadership
with contemporary secular and popular leadership styles and models through constructive conversation and criticism.

On the second part of the course, students are challenged to appropriate the core values and fundamental principles of the
Ignatian on two levels: (1) Collective: Ignatian Seminar by featuring key persons whom they deemed as epitome of the Ignatian ideals
in various disciplines and (2) Personal: Personal life by considering into their daily life the relevance, value, and wisdom of Ignatian
Spirituality.
