Dear Professors:

Greetings of Peace!

The College of Engineering (COE) is proud to bring you its hybrid event entitled Annual Presentation of
Project Research in Electromechanical, Civil, Information, and Telecommunications Engineering
(APPRECIATE 2023), with the theme “Transcend the Limits: Reigniting Engineering Research in the Post
- Pandemic Era” on May 18-19, 2023 (Thursday and Friday).

APPRECIATE is a two-day event of research presentations and technology exhibits. It is the largest platform in
the university that allows the 4th year engineering students to showcase lifesaving, efficient, high-end, and
innovative project studies.

We would like to humble request for a two-day excuse on May 18-19 for all the color guards of the
APPRECIATE 2023. This excuse is necessary to ensure the success of the event.

During these two days, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, we will be engaged in crucial activities such as project
exhibition, plenary talk, parallel session and attending to other essential tasks. These activities are vital to ensure
that the event runs smoothly and meets the highest standards of excellence.

While we acknowledge the significance of classes, especially during the Midterm Examinations period, we
assure you that all the students involved will make every effort to stay on track with their coursework and any
specific requirements during their absence. They are committed to staying up-to-date and fully prepared for any
assignments or exams that may be given during this time.

We kindly request your understanding and support in granting this excuse for the absence of the students from
their classes on May 18-19. We believe that their active involvement in this event will not only benefit them but
also enhance the reputation of our institution as a center of excellence.

Attached herewith is the list of names and courses affected of the said color guards. Should you have any
questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact us at appreciate@tup.edu.ph. We
appreciate your support and look forward to your positive response. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Respectfully yours,

ENGR. JAY FEL C. QUIJANO
