Introduction

Mobile apps are becoming increasingly popular for businesses to stay connected with their
customers. Membership applications are no exception. With the rise of mobile usage and the ease of
accessibility, businesses are creating mobile apps to manage memberships and create a seamless
experience for their customers. In this case study, we will explore the design process of a mobile app
for a membership application.

Background

Our client, a health and wellness center, was looking for a way to manage their memberships
through a mobile app. They wanted to provide their members with an easy-to-use platform that
would allow them to check their membership status, view upcoming classes and events, and easily
book appointments. The app would also allow members to connect with other members and
participate in group activities.

Design Process

To create a successful mobile app, we followed a design process that involved research, wireframing,
and prototyping.

Research

We began by researching the target audience and their needs. We conducted user interviews with
current members of the health and wellness center to understand their pain points and what they
wanted in a mobile app. We also conducted competitive research to see what other membership
apps were available in the market and what features they offered.

Wireframing

After conducting research, we created wireframes to map out the user flow and the app’s layout.
The wireframes allowed us to visualize the app’s structure and ensure that the user flow was
intuitive. We presented the wireframes to the client and received feedback to make necessary
changes.
Prototyping

With the wireframes finalized, we created a prototype of the app using Figma, a collaborative design
tool. The prototype allowed us to test the user flow and user interface design. We conducted user
testing with current members of the health and wellness center to receive feedback and make
necessary changes.

Design Elements

The design of the mobile app was based on the health and wellness center’s brand guidelines. We
incorporated their brand colors and typography to create a consistent look and feel. The app’s
design focused on simplicity and ease of use.

Home Screen

The home screen was designed to be a dashboard that provided quick access to the most important
features of the app. It included a navigation bar at the bottom of the screen that allowed users to
access different sections of the app, including their membership status, class schedule, and events.

Membership Status

The membership status section allowed users to view their membership information, including their
membership level, renewal date, and payment history. Users could also renew their membership
and update their payment information through this section.

Class Schedule

The class schedule section allowed users to view the upcoming classes and sign up for them. Users
could filter the classes by type, instructor, and time. The class details page provided information on
the class, including the instructor, duration, and location.

Events

The events section allowed users to view upcoming events, including workshops, seminars, and
group activities. Users could also RSVP for events through the app.
Appointments

The appointments section allowed users to book appointments with the health and wellness
center’s services, including personal training, nutrition coaching, and massage therapy. Users could
select a service, choose a date and time, and book the appointment through the app.

Community

The community section allowed users to connect with other members of the health and wellness
center. Users could view member profiles, send messages, and participate in group activities.

Conclusion

The mobile app design for the health and wellness center’s membership application was created
through a design process that involved research, wireframing, and prototyping. The app’s design was
