Before cutting fabric liner, measure across the bottom of the 2
baskets and the height on the sides to verify amounts

needed. The pieces need to be slightly smaller to fit, and it is
better to cut slightly larger than needed, rather than having a 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1
piece that is cut too small. Fabric can be trimmed as needed
after cutting. Legend

Cut 4 fabric stabilizer pieces, beginning with the bottom C1


circles from one shorter end of fabric. Cut large circle first
from corner edges of fabric and then cut small circle directly C2
above from side edge of fabric. Cut the side strips with
remaining fabric, cutting large basket strip across longest
length of fabric. For the small basket cut a circle 8 inches in
diameter and a strip 5 inches high x 25 inches wide. For the
large basket cut a circle 10 inches in diameter and a strip that
is 6 inches high x 33 inches long. Before sewing, place the
cut pieces into the basket to check the size. Trim as needed.

With sewing needle and thread, lightly sew side strip to


bottom edge with a long running stitch. Let side strip ends
overlap slightly, then sew side ends together.

Place bottom circle inside outer basket, then place crocheted


liner inside with right side visible.

With RS facing join C1 in any st of outer basket, ch 1, then


working through top rounds of both inner liner and outer
basket, SC in each st around to join them together, sl st in
first SC to join. Fasten off and weave in ends.
