‘Include entire article in XML’ changes 2021-1+ has other unexpected

changes

TESTED
 2020-2 and 2020-3sr1
o "what they were used to" - could not get full article in XML if individual jump pages
exported)
 2021-1sr1 through 2022-3
o full article in XML if individual jump pages exported, but the jump-page measurements
and jumpline placements are different from 2020-2/-3)

2021-1 Release notes

• Full Jump stories not exported in article XML.
o Full jump stories not exported in article XML when exporting single page manually
o If “include entire article text in XML document for each layout” option is set to Yes on
paginated articles in an XML export job, the full text of the article will now be included
in the export even if only one of the page is output

DEV NOTES MWC2-995

Cause: includeEntireArticleTextInXmlDocumentForEachLayout of Paginated Article setting in Multi
Export Job is not working.

Solution: set the value of the includeEntireArticleTextInXmlDocumentForEachLayout of Paginated

Article in natjob.ini and

Then read the value of includeEntireArticleTextInXmlDocumentForEachLayout SaxoRobotJob.cpp

and on the basis value of includeEntireArticleTextInXmlDocumentForEachLayout will read hidden jump

box on the page layer

My testing
Above testing sent both cover and jump. In 2021-1+, sending only p1 or only p2 did include both parts of
the article in the XML, but in all cases ...

1) the jumpto turnline now is at the end of the article (in 2020-3, it was within the body copy, at
the jump point)
2) the measurement of the jumped part of the article/XML is different in 2021-1+ vs 2020-3 if
you export cover/jump pages or at same time or export just cover page; only if you export
only jump page are those measurements as in 2020-3

EXAMPLES
(same story, page, placement) in all tests; PP still 2022-3; only Content and AdLine plugins changed)
* 2020-3 (sending both pages together; note jump page measurements vs 2021-1, and jumpto turnline
is within body)
