    BGT-AT 2A Contemporary World

    1. The Philippines is currently experiencing a fall in the exchange of the peso to a Dollar, as
    the newly elected President, what would do to regain power and control the peso?
    As a newly elected President of the Philippines, I will be focusing on regaining my power
    and to control peso by reducing of spending too much on the national budget as the Philippines is
    currently experiencing a fall in the exchange of the peso to a dollar. By lowering the prices and
    remaining still of the minimum wages by this the effect of inflation will be not too severe. Building
    and creating infrastructures here on our country to generate more jobs for the people. Mandating
    a strict policy on price control and daily monitoring of supply and demands so that the business
    owners won't be able to do economic sabotages.
    2. How will you build relationships with the world?
    Building a relationship with the world is like building a relationship with your boyfriend or
    girlfriend. First of all, I will explore and conduct research each country. Second, after I learn from
    them, I will embrace their culture as a sign of respect and network with the very well and
    continuous negotiating with them in terms of bilateral talks, environmental concerns, sovereignty,
    economic agreements and relations.
    3. Give at least one program for economic, social, and political factors that can help our
    country to be more globalized.

    • Economic – Lower non-tariff barriers and procedural obstacles in order for easy
    accessibility for any foreign country and investors to open a business here on our country.

    • Social – Our government should invest more in building infrastructures such as highways,
    sea ports and any means of navigations. It can also generate more jobs for the people. In
    addition, we should continue the project Build, Build, Build program, a centerpiece of the
    Duterte Administration that aims to enhance mobility and connectivity.

    • Political – Joining and strengthening our political relationships with other countries like
    ASEAN and United Nations. This may help our country to adopt in global institutions and
    increase interactions between the system of government on the basis of democracy, human
    rights, and freedom.
