INTRODUCTION
This story takes place in a typical European castle. This castle is a ghost
home, which for centuries frightened all the people living there.
Many adventures were written full of ghosts and people, although it was
not written with the irony with which it was written.
This is the only one in which the terrifying ghost (as the main character)
turns tragic when the American teaches his art of use.

"THE GHOST OF CANTERVILLE".
The Otis family finally decides to move to Canterville Lock. Although they were
warned that the old families who went to the place were afraid of a spirit that lives
there. However, Mr. Otis doesn't believe in these things, so by signing the contract,
it doesn't seem like an inconvenience to move.
The family consists of Hiram Otis, the father; Lucrecia Otis, the mother;
Washington, the older brother; Virginia, the middle child and the twins and star rays.
When she arrives, the lady will welcome her to visit the house: Umney.
The family explores the castle. You hit a bloodstain in Umney's library that
this stain is impossible to remove because Eleanor Cantilville, the spirit of the ghost
Simon, was killed. Washington manages to remove the stain with a product from the
United States.
The spirit already occurs in each of the family members in their rooms. Use
chains to scare. Mr. Otis, far from being afraid, puts oil in the machinery. The spirit
gets angry and runs out of the room screaming, but the twins throw pillows.
Obviously, the ghost plan didn't work.
The Spirit decides to put on armor to try to scare the family. However, this is
very difficult. Sir Simon stumbles upon the noise and lets the whole family wake up.
The twins throw stones for him to finish and defeat again.
On the other hand, Cantille's spirit was still trying to lie low, to no avail.
However, the twins spent them playing. He even tries to present himself as a
headless spirit, but it backfires because he's sick, he is.
Then the Duke Stellon family, whom the Spirit has a deep problem with.
However, he does nothing out of fear of the twins.
One day, Virginia shakes her dress while she is walking with Duke Stellon.
This goes to the castle to change, but the spirit is on its way. She decides to face
him and talk to him. She claims to stop with his temper to keep the bloodstain in the
library.
They both talk for a while and the Spirit asks her to pray for him because she
couldn't even cry. Virginia agrees and is taken to a new place in the castle.
Virginia disappears to her family. They look for them everywhere, but they
can't get it. At night, after dinner, she appears with a flowing chest of Cheeeeper. It
is a gift of the mind to help him break free and get the peace he longed for in his
death. Virginia convinces the family to search for the body. The terrace is full of
flowers to see that Sir Simon was awarded.
In the end, the eldest daughter holds the jewelry, even if she is offered to the
family of mind. No one finds out what happened to Virginia while she's missing, but
it seems she understood aspects of life and death.
CONCLUSION.
This story tells of the misery of the ghost of the man Simon of
Canterville, when his homes in England virtually attacked by the Gingos family
disappeared, who did not shake before the terrifying "landlady" because he
removed them from his property. The only hope for the ghost of Cantille is an
assistance that can provide innocent Virginia and Casta, a daughter younger
than the family of American diplomats.
This book is short but funny and tries to parody the classic ghost story,
a very original idea to be done in 1887. In addition, it is a clever satire for the
capitalist and consumer systems of the United States and the attitudes of the
traditional American family.
The Canterville Ghost is a quick and enjoyable read, sarcastic and well
told, which is great fun for all types of readers.
