A NIGHT SLOW SHOT FROM OUTSIDE SHOWING THE LIGHTS OF A
TOWNSHIP AND MOVES TO A COMPOUND WHILE A FEMALE CHILD IS
HEARD SPEAKING -LEADING A BIBLE STUDY .
NAMATAMA
(Reading from a book like
a quarterly)

Worship is a time when we give
adoration and praise to God. With
reverence, humility, and gratitude,
we make our requests to him. In the
Old Testament, animals were
sacrificed on the altars. Today, we
need only a sacrifice of time and
self. When we add the word family
to worship, we come together to
worship God as a family. Parents
especially get an opportunity to
disciple their children and teach
them how to worship God. Together,
we take the time to express honor
and respect to God and acknowledge
Him as Lord and Savior of our lives
and our home. This experience bonds
us to one another and draws us
closer to God. Amen.

INT. MR NUMWA'S HOUSE - EVENING

Mr Numwa, His wife Tapiwa and daughter Namatama are seated in
the sofas having a bible study from the study guide.

soul, and with all your
strength.” Deuteronomy 6: 5
NAMATAMA

next question goes to mum. Give at
least 3 points why family bible
study is important.
MRS TAPIWA NUMWA

families to worship God. Also, it
Establishes spiritual values.
MR NUMWA

family worship Places God at the
center of our homes.
NAMATAMA
And it Bonds our families together.

have a personal question, from my
child hood we have been using this
same bible, how special is it?
MR NUMWA
Ooo baby girl, well, this bible was
given to me and my wife on our
wedding day by my father. So we
treasure this gift so much.
NAMATAMA

might be coming late home

started doing so at least you

There is a knock at the door and mrs numwa responds to it.
MRS TAPIWA NUMWA
Hold on, am coming.

INT. MR NUMWA'S HOUSE SITTING ROOM- MOMENTS LATER

She opens the door and finds its her mother who has come with
a bag.
MRS TAPIWA NUMWA
Oh boma, coming in please i glad to
see you owww..
She enters and smiles on their faces, Namatama also runs to
hug the grand mother and gets her bag taking it away. They
sit in the sofas and Mrs Numwa kneels down to greet her and
claps and greet her again twice.
Namatama comes back also and kneels down to greet her. The
grandma holds her hand and kisses it inside and takes her
hand to Namatama who also kisses it inside and they both
clap. She then takes a sit.
6.

MRS TAPIWA NUMWA (CONT'D)

Namatama please bring the juice
bottle and cups here and bring her
favorite biscuit .
NAMATAMA
Alright mummy.
She goes to the kitchen and the two remain chatting in the
sitting room but no audible sound of their chat...
few moments Namatama returns and kneel down.
MRS TAPIWA NUMWA
What's the problem where is the
juice and the biscuit?
NAMATAMA
Aaah, I forgot to tell you, the
juice finished yesterday. Even
mealie meal there is just for lunch
and it will be done.
MRS TAPIWA NUMWA
Aa go and get a new bottle from the
case in the spare room. You have
forgotten that daddy filled up the
spare room with plenty of food and
groceries before he left? Hurry up.
NAMATAMA
Mummy the spare room is locked and
the key is not there.
MRS TAPIWA NUMWA
Aah who locked the door. We never
remove the key from that door. Lets
find the key.
So they stand up and start looking every where for the key
but can not find it.
Mrs Numwa comes back to sit next to her mother but Namatama
doesn't come back to the sitting room.
MRS TAPIWA NUMWA (CONT'D)
Aah am in trouble now boma, I may
have to call someone to break the
door. Every thing is in that room.
And he didn't leave me with a lot
of money. Aa, what kind of trouble
is this now?
7.

MRS NUMWA'S MOTHER

Don't worry much my daughter. Just
call your husband maybe he carried
the keys by mistake.
MRS TAPIWA NUMWA
Boma, east Africa is not a town in
Zambia. he is out of the country
and he is unreachable unless
whenever they will be in a
reachable area that's when he can
call. So if he carried the key then
we are helpless.
MRS NUMWA'S MOTHER
Oh so sad. You don't have a spare
key ?
MRS TAPIWA NUMWA
Not at all. There is no spare key.
Aaa this is disturbing my freedom
now. What am I going to do.? eeish.
Namatama passes dressed nicely.
NAMATAMA
Me am going to church mummy, last
week we missed church. bye.
MRS NUMWA'S MOTHER
My daughter, why didn't you go to
church last week? And obviously
even today you don't seem like
someone ready to go to church.
MRS TAPIWA NUMWA
I was just tired boma , don't
worry. I will go next week.
Her phone rings and she looks at it.
MRS NUMWA'S MOTHER
Show me where my bag is I get
something from it.
MRS TAPIWA NUMWA
O0h sorry mum, as usual, please go
to namatama's bedroom nothing has
changed.
She stand up and leaves mrs numwa picking the call.

9.
MRS NUMWA'S MOTHER (CONT'D)
I have just been observing you
silently. You have changed. You
bring unnecessary friends in your
home, you go out , you watch
unbiblical things on TV, and you
have never conducted bible study
from the time I came here. Why my
daughter? have you been pretending
to be born again to your hubby yet
you are still dead?
MRS TAPIWA NUMWA
Mumy stop it please. Am just taking
a break. Every thing will get back
to normal.
Her phone rings from the bedroom and Namatama picks it she
comes screaming with joy bringing the phone to mrs numwa on
loud speaker.
NAMATAMA
Daddy, dadyy i miss you . How are

MR NUMWA
Yes by God's grace everything
is under control and the
program has changed so me and
a few other soldiers will be
coming back this weekend.
MRS TAPIWA NUMWA
Wow that's good honey, i cant
wait to see you please I have
been suffering here with
upkeep things. The money
finished and i had to borrow
for us to survive .

10.

MR NUMWA
My love that's strange. All
that food and groceries we
bought in bulk has finished
how why, when?

MRS TAPIWA NUMWA
Honey i think you carried the
key to the spare room by
mistake. We have never used
any of the things you bought
the door is still locked.

MR NUMWA
What!! My love. Am so
disappointed. my love what
does John 6:35 say?
And Jesus said unto them, I
am the bread of life: he that
cometh to me shall never
hunger; and he that believeth
on me shall never thirst

MRS TAPIWA NUMWA
Honey what are trying to say?
You are confusing me.

MR NUMWA
This is sad my love. You have
eyes but can not see. my love
The name of the LORD is a
strong tower; The righteous
run to it and are safe. You
have not been running to the
strong Tower my love. Any
ways it is well. Please
conduct bible study now I
want to be part of it.
NAMATAMA
Yes daddy thank you i missed family
worship.
11.

MRS TAPIWA NUMWA

Namatama get the family bible for
me .
NAMATAMA
Okay mum.
She picks it up and clears some dust off it.
MRS TAPIWA NUMWA
Aaah, am sorry. Where did we even
end at. Aaahm.
As she turns the bible separate ribbon, she finds the key to
the spare room and she screams.
NAMATAMA
The key .. dady we have found the
key in the bible.
MRS TAPIWA NUMWA
Oh my God, am sorry. I ran away
from your word dear Lord. I
distanced my self from the bible
not knowing that's where all my
answers were. am sorry . I will not
let go of your word again.
She goes to the mother and kneels down and namatama joins
they hug for some time as music plays..
