prerequisites and sub-skills that students should master.Discass

As an Al language model, I do not have personal skills.
However,based on research and educationl materials,here are some prerequisites and
sub-skills that elementary students should master to develop their listening skills:
Prerequisites:
1.Attention: students should be able to focus their attention on the speaker or the audio
source.
2.Memory: students should have a good working memory to retain the information they hear.
3.language proficiency: students should have basic understanding of the language used in
the listening material.
Sub-skills:
1.Discrimination: students should be able to distinguish should be able to between different
sounds, words,and phrases.
2.Comprehension : students should be able to understand the meaning of what they hear.
3.Interpretation : students should be able to interpret the speaker or audio source.
4.Evaluation : students should be able to evaluate the credibility and relevance of what they
hear.
To develop these skills,teachers can use various strategies, comprehension activities,and
providing feedback on students 'lisening performance.Additionally , teachers can create a
supportive learning environment that encourages students to ask questions and seek
clarification when needed.

"Mute English learners" is a phenomenon prevailing in many EfI calsses .
Discuss the problems that make speaking difficult for EfI students.
Answer:
Mute English learners refer to students who are hesitant or reluctant to speak in English
despite having a good understanding of the language.
This phenomenon is prevalent in many EFI (English as a foreign language) classes,and it
poses several problems for both the students and teachers some of the problems that make
speaking difficult for EFI students are:
1.fear of making mistakes:
Many EFI students are afraid of making mistakes while speaking English, which makes them
hesitant to speak up in class. they worry about being judged or ridiculed by their peers or
teachers.
2.Lack of confidence :
Some EfI Students lack confidence in their ability to speak English fluently, which makes
them feel self-conscious and uncomfortable When speaking in front of others.
3.limited vocaby:
EFI students may have a limited vocabulary, which makes it difficult for them to express
themselves clearly and effectively.
4. Grammar and punctuation:
EFl students may struggle with grammar rules and pronunciation, which can make it
challenging for them to communicate effectively in English.
5.culture differences: cultural differences can also play a role in making speaking difficult for
EFL students. They may be expressions used in English -speaking countries, Which can
lead to misunderstandings.
6.Lack of exposure: some EfI Students may not have had enough exposure to English
outside of the classroom, which can make it challenging for them to practice and improve
their speaking skills.
7.Anxiety and stress:
Finally, anxiety and stress can also contribute to making speaking difficult for EfL students.
They may feel over whelmed by the pressure to perform well or worried about being judged
by others.

in conclusion, there are several factors that make speaking


difficult for EFL students ,
including fear of making mistakes,lack of confidence, limited vocabulary, grammar and
pronunciation issues, cultural differences, lack of exposure, anxiety and stress.
Teachers need to be aware of these challenges and provide a supportive and encouraging
environment that helps students overcome their fears and build their confidence in speaking
English.
