Fire Drill Evacuation

Scenario: There was fire alarm sound for several minute and alternating everyone towards the exit
point. Fire was a cause due to short circuit in micro oven. Procedures:

• Don’t panic

• Stop everything what you are doing

• Call for emergency or fire assistance persons

• Proceed to the nearest emergency exit

• follow the exit procedure and the guidelines

• Don’t rush or run but walk fast

• Use the staircase , never use the lifts

• Walk through left side of the staircase. Leave the right side for rescue teams.

• Don’t talk while you are moving towards the exit area

• Take care of everyone and give first priority to physically challenged persons

• Proceed to the safe gathering points

• Be in a group don’t go here and there unless you re entered in the building and get counted. Purpose
of the drill is to provide an opportunity for everyone to assess their knowledge of the Fire Evacuation
Plan as well as their ability to evacuate the facility as quick and safely as possible.

Result:

Everyone perform the drill properly with the guidance of our teacher while evacuating but after reaching
safe point every one separate and some went for coffee and snacks. After entering inside the building
teacher was counting but some are missing so it was the bad part of the drill.

Task 2: Emergency procedures demonstration

 In consultation with your team leader/supervisor, manager and/or health and safety
representative, hold an emergency evacuation drill for your workplace or training area.
 The drill should be conducted at a time that is approved by management and which minimises
disruption to customers.
 You are to demonstrate a range of skills and knowledge during and after the drill.
