For those who are entering Japan from China starting

April 5th, 2023.
After 00:00 JST on April 5th*, 2023, temporary measures will apply to
all those who are entering Japan via a direct flight from China (excluding Hong
Kong and Macau).
* Temporary measures will apply to those who board an aircraft with an estimated time of arrival after
00:00 JST on April 5th, 2023.

◼ After 00:00 JST on April 5th, 2023, all those who are entering Japan via a direct flight from
China (excluding Hong Kong and Macau) are required to obtain either a valid vaccination
certificate or a certificate of Pre-departure Test as per the previous measures.

◼ Passengers who have not obtained a valid vaccination certificate or a certificate of Pre-
departure Test in the country of departure before boarding, will be denied boarding the aircraft.

◼ From March 1st, 2023, a sampling test is conducted for all those who are entering Japan via a
direct flight from China (excluding Hong Kong and Macau). Only collecting test samples is done
in the airport. For details, please refer to the attached sheet “Regarding the implementation of
COVID-19 test for passengers of the flights for which the test is required.”.

検査対象便に搭乗された方の新型コロナウイルス感染症
の検査の実施について
検疫官の案内に従って、検査を受けてください（検体採取のみ）。
◼ 受付でパスポートを登録してください。
◼ 空港では、検体採取のみ実施します。検体採取後、検査結果はお待ちいただかず、検疫官の案内
に従い、次の手続きに進んでください。
※ 新型コロナウイルスへの感染が疑われる症状がある場合、結果を空港でお待ちいただき、検
査結果が陽性の場合は、検疫所の指示に従ってください。
◼ 検査結果が陽性の場合のみ、 当日中に、登録いただいたアドレスあてにメールが届きます。陰性
の場合は、メール通知はございません。（お電話による個別の結果照会にはお答えできません）。
◼ 陽性の方は、検疫所からのメールに必要項目をご返信いただき、必要に応じ、滞在地の都道府県
における情報を確認して案内に従い、ご自宅等で療養いただくようお願いいたします。

Regarding the implementation of COVID-19 test for passengers of the flights

for which the test is required.
Please follow the instruction from the quarantine officer and take a test (collecting a sample only).
◼ Please register your passport at the reception.
◼ Only collecting test samples is done in the airport. Please proceed to the next step by following the
instruction from the quarantine officer without waiting for your test result after collecting your test
sample.
*Anyone with a symptom which suggests COVID-19 infection is required to wait for the test result in
the airport and follow further instructions from the quarantine officer if the result is positive.
◼ You will receive an email notification at your registered email address on the same day only if your
test result is positive. There will be no email notifications for negative test results. (Any individual
inquiries for test results by phone will not be answered)
◼ Anyone who tested positive is required to answer all the questions in an email from the
quarantine office, if necessary, check information in the prefecture of stay and follow instructions
and recuperate at home or place of stay.
