World Problem:
Ms. Bengala believes that the scores of her students in the 1st quarter Practical Research exam
have an average of 38.13 and is greater than the scores of their exam in the 3rd quarter. Can
we agree on her claim on the basis of asking 15 senior high school students with a mean of
33.97 and a standard deviation of 16.70 in the 1st quarter exam with a 0.10 level of
significance?

µ= µ= ∑X/N = 572/15 = 38.13

X̄ = ∑ X̄ /N = 509.5/15 =33.97
Solution:
Given:
µ=38.13
X̄ = 33.97
S = 16.70
N = 15
s = 0.10

1.) H0: µ < 38.13 4.) t-table (n<30)

Ha: µ > 38.13 d1 = n-1 = 15-1 = 14

2.) T-test
