1.0 SCOPE
This Construction Standard discuss the preparation of SAS Point List for verification for
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System For Transmission Substations
with Substation Automation System (SAS) of National Grid SA.

2.0 ORGANIZATION
SAS Point List is divided into six sections as following:
1. Alarms
2. Indications
3. Commands
4. Measurands
5. General Alarms
6. SAS Alarms

3.0 APPLICABLE STANDARD

The standard is prepared based on TES-P-107.02 (latest revision) “Supervisory Control and
Data Acquisition System for Transmission Substations with SAS and SAS related National
Grid SA standards.

4.0 ALARMS
Information to be filled for alarms are given in Table 01-1. Information such as Text,
LITRA received at Control Center, Address extra shall be filled based on TES-P-107.02
(latest revision). Other information such as IEC 61850 Address/ Identifier etc., shall be filled
up as required for the project.

5.0 INDICATIONS
Information to be filled are given in Table 01-2, and it is similar to alarm list.

6.0 COMMANDS
Information to be filled are given in Table 01-3, and this is similar to alarm list.

7.0 MEASURANDS
Information to be filled are covered in Table 01-4, and this is similar to alarm list

8.0 GENERAL ALARMS

General alarms of the substation, and information to be filled are covered in Table 01-5.

9.0 SAS ALARMS

Substation Automation System alarms of substation and information to be filled are covered
in Table 01-6.

Notes:

1. In the beginning of each SAS Points List, there shall be a Cover Sheet and an Index
Sheet.

2. SAS Points List shall be prepared in Excel spread sheets format with separate sheet
for each section (Alarms, Indications, Commands etc.) in unprotected mode.

3. Frame for each page of the SAS Points List shall include the design consultant official
logo, sheet number, project title and revision number.

4. Numbered separators with a proper index shall be used between different voltage
levels, alarms, indications, commands, measurements, general alarms, SAS alarms
and regulation commands.

5. Each section (Alarms, Indications, Commands etc.) shall have different sheet for
different voltage level.

6. Bay Number shall be in numerical order. Left to right arrangement of the bays shall
be considered as per approved SLD.

7. Reference for “Control System Data” column shall be obtain from respective Projects
Department or Control System Division area wise.

8. Open Loop Test and Close Loop Test columns are intended for Testing and
Commissioning stage of each project.

9. Signal Point List shall be submitted on an A3 size paper with a readable font type and
size.
