Financial Controller: Role & Responsibility


 Heading Finance Department, Part of the core founding team for the company, while being the first
employee and having played a pivotal role in Incorporation of company, getting registrations in various
states under various laws
 Now, spearheading a team of 7 Senior professionals and shouldering end-to-end responsibility of a gamut
of critical functions including Finance, Accounts, Costing, Taxation, Compliance, Budget, MIS, Inventory &
logistic.
 Have been recognized for providing effective leadership, guidance & support to the business that has
grown from zero to > INR 160 Cr over a short span of time
 Spearheading costing & review of 1500 products, analyzes deviations between Actual and
Budget/Standard and acts proactively with business partners to take corrective action.
 Conceptualized, ideated & established the organization in India from a scratch, the role spanning across
developing the organization structure, SOPs, recruitment, operations and support. Defined process &
documentation under ICFR and implemented the same with a firm eye on adherence with internal
standards as well as regulatory compliance
 Worked closely with the stakeholders in determining the company’s values, mission, vision, and goals at a
regional level
Accounts:

• Managing financial accounting operations including Invoicing, Revenue recognition, Accounts


Receivables, Accounts Payable, Accounting of cost (cost center wise).
• Compliance under ICFR, develop business processes and accounting policies to strengthen
internal control system, review of internal controls in the operation.
• Monthly closure of Account & submission of financial statements to Group head Israel.
• Directing tasks related to financial audits.
• Finalization of Balance Sheet & Profit Loss Accounts with all schedules as per IGAAP.
• Insurance & Fixed Assets Management.
Finance:
• Monitoring cash flow & Manage Bank
• Preparation of short term and long term cash forecast in accordance with business projection.
• Bank Financing for Working Capital requirements. Deal with Banks for fund raising. Credit
Ratings etc.
• Coordinate with Bank for post approval processes including legal documentation & compliances
for execution of overall mandate and disbursement.
• To Structure and conceive variable pay program of the Company.
Costing:
• Monitoring & controlling of cost. Support to operation in improving cost efficiency.
• Product Cost and Profitability analysis, Sales Margin analysis and Pricing decision, Financial
Strategy. Provide analyses to Group & BU head as and when needed for taking decisions,
improve performance and reduction of cost.
Supervise Profit Center and Cost Center. Analyzes deviation between Actual and Budget/
Standard cost.
• State wise Costing profitability analysis. Inventory valuation.
Taxation & Other compliance:
• Direct & Indirect Taxation
• Compliance under other local legislation in various states
• Oversee & responsible for Compliance under Company law and FEMA.
• Tax audit, Transfer pricing Audit & documentation.
Budget, MIS & Compliance
• Formulating Budget and forecast (cost center wise, Sales planning and full P & L), drilldown
yearly budget into Quarterly & Monthly budget, setting up & assign targets (KPI’s) based on
Budget.
• Monthly analysis & review of Actual with Budget, variance analysis and communication on all
relevant issues to stakeholders.
• Report to Group head- Israel ( P&L, BS & Cash Flow)
• Monthly MIS report on Sales, Procurement, Inventory, COGS, State wise P & L, etc. for
Management review.
