AFFIDAVIT - COMPLAINT

I, JULIE PEARL A. CASTILLANO, 28 years old, (DOB: October 10, 1993), single,
female, Filipino, Xiaomi Brand Ambassador and a resident of Purok 6, Brgy. 40-D Boulevard,
Davao City, Davao Del Sur after having been duly sworn to, in accordance with the law, do
hereby depose and says, THAT:

1. I am the same and identical person who executed this instrument to lodge a formal
complaint against MAYLIN LANTICSE;

2. The respondent may be served with notices, orders and other processes through her
residence at Rizal Avenue, South Digos, Zone 1, Digos City, Davao del Sur;

3. I am the owner/holder of Facebook account "Tk Eiluj Onallitsac" under URL:

https://www.facebook.com/juliepearl.castillano and Facebook user ID
100005021143861; (attached and marked as Annex “A”)

4. The respondent MAYLIN LANTICSE is the owner/holder of the Facebook account

5. Before this incident, we were friends personally and on Facebook, together we lingered
moments and exchanged conversation, since we worked in the same mall located in
Bajada Davao City as a Brand Ambassador of an Android Phones. I confidently say that
the Facebook account “Yam Yam” is the respondent’s official account;

6. On October 3, 2021, MAYLIN LANTICSE and I went out to clarify some things about
my present lived-in partner “PEPE SUGANDI JR.” which happened to be the
respondent’s ex-boyfriend and resulted to disagreement wherein she can’t believe and
accept the fact that her Ex-boyfriend is now my lived-in partner;

7. On October 14, 2021 at around 8:42 PM, when I browsed my Facebook account, I
received a private message thru Facebook messenger from my friend “JUVILIN M.
BALONGAG” that the respondent mentioned me with my lived-in partner together with
our photos on her malicious and degrading public post against my rights and dignity as a
woman; (attached and marked as Annex “D”)

8. I was in deep trouble and ashamed which prompted me to browse the respondent’s
Facebook account “Yam Yam” and saw it personally her malicious and degrading public
post;

9. After reading her malign and untrue statement I ascertained that behind the above-
mentioned post was done entirely by “MAYLIN LANTICSE” using her official
Facebook account, which I then generated a screenshot for my future references;

10. At around 10:15 AM of October 15, 2021, out of dismay and desperation I confronted
the respondent but resulted to arguments; (attached and marked as Annex “E4-E5”)

11. Sometime on October 14, 2021 at around 8:48 PM, my friend JUVILIN M.
BALONGAG using her official Facebook account “Juvy Maitem Balongag” under
 URL https://www.facebook.com/juvy.maitem with Facebook user ID 100000926841985
messaged me thru messenger and informed me that I was posted maliciously together
with my photos by the respondent which gather hundreds of malicious comments from
her friends and mutual friends; (attached and marked as Annex “F”)

12. On October 15, 2021 at around 10:20 AM, I went to the Davao City Police Cyber
Response Team-Regional Anti-Cyber Crime Unit XI, WCPD Bldg. CM Recto, Davao
City to record the incident, seek investigative assistance, and to assist in filing of
appropriate criminal charges against the respondent if warrant; (attached and marked as
Annex “G”)

13. Due to the afore-quoted excerpt of online post authored and published by the respondent
it cast aspersion in the readers’ minds that I am an immoral woman, I felt
DISTRESSED, EMBARRASSED, and ANGRY which resulted of having a sleepless
night and suffered severe anxiety which consciously destroy my reputation, integrity, and
character as a woman.

14. I am executing this affidavit of complaint in order to apprise the proper authorities
concerned of the truth of the foregoing facts and to file a formal complaint for violation
of Sec. 4, (c), 4 of RA 10175 also known as “CYBERCRIME PREVENTION ACT
OF 2012”, committed by, through and with the use of information and
communications technologies (ICT) against MAYLIN LANTICSE and other violation
that the Prosecutor may see fit.
