In conclusion, same-sex marriage is not wrong rather love comes in all forms.

There is
no explicit constitutional prohibition against changing the current definition of marriage to be
more inclusive, however, legalization of same-sex marriage is an overt deviation to Filipino’s
culture and religion. It may be noted that the fundamental purpose of the Constitution and
other statutes is to build an orderly society and promote the general welfare of the citizens,
thus, legislatures have no intentions to deprive anyone’s right and this is not driven by personal
hatred towards any individual - particularly the LGBTQ community. The relevant laws and
jurisprudence in the Philippines clearly show a growing but uncoordinated recognition of
LGBTQ rights within the Philippine legal system. The Supreme Court has recognized a
constitutional policy on non-discrimination of LGBTQ people. However, the Philippines has yet
to fully implement a solid legal framework within which LGBTI rights are recognized,
implemented, and defended. Thus, while the future of same sex marriage may still be unknown
in the Philippines, it is clear that LGBTQ community is influencing the meaning of marriage and
the understanding and acceptance of same-sex marriage will evolve from generation to
generation.
