Introduction

Along with the freedom from job discrimination, equal pay for women, and fair punishment for
minority criminals, same-sex marriage is one of many civil rights. Roman Catholics make up the majority
of the Christian population in the Philippines. Even without the church's approval, the government has
the authority to enforce laws. because in the Philippines, the government and the church are distinct.
because of the church's powerful influence. The social and political atmosphere in the Philippines is
being discussed and changed. And the largest issue currently facing a Christian nation like the Philippines
is the legalization of same-sex unions. Two of the main aims of the LGBT movement run counter to
marriage. the support of LGBT identity culture and the approval of various types of relationships. Same-
sex union. While same-sex marriage can reduce population, it violates a lord's law.

Counter argument

Marriage is strongly believed to be a fundamental right regardless of whether you are LGBT or not,
which is why same-sex marriage is legal in the Philippines. Everyone must be able to get married if they
really want to. Same-sex marriage is a human rights issue, not a religious one.

I support same-sex marriage because I believe that everyone has the capacity to love and that all people
have the right to do so, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

I disagree with same-sex marriage because, according to the Catholic religion, it is impermissible
because, according to the Bible, women were made for males. According to Corinthians 6:9–10, same-
sex marriage is a kind of immorality, and God will not let it to occur among his people.

The bible forbids gay relationships in Leviticus 18:22, which states, "Thou shall not lay with man kind as
with woman it is abnomination." Several customs in Islamic history discourage homosexual and lesbian
relationships (Passage attributed to the Prophet Muhammad). "When the guy mounts another man,"
goes the proverb.

Conclusion

Therefore I conclude that, Same-sex marriage will increase everyone's rights and provide gay and lesbian
people in the Philippines the chance to wed the person they love. Expanding civil marriage to couples
who are of the same sex shows respect for the fundamental rights to equality and nondiscrimination
from the standpoint of human rights.
