Initial Teachings of the High Temple

Introduction

Sekhem energy with its divine wisdom goes to the place in the body that requires
healing, that is why Sekhmet Reiki is so easy to learn and apply.

There is no need to study anatomy of the human body to treat a person

successfully. You simply channel the energy and follow your intuition, the
Sekhem energy will do the rest.

However, a basic understanding of the human structure is beneficial, as a person

may feel pain in a certain area, but the source of the imbalance may be located in
a completely different area.

Chakra translates to wheel or vortex and refers to each of the main seven energy
centers which function as pumps or valves, regulating the flow of energy
throughout the body.

Chakras interact with the physical body through two major vehicles, the
endocrine system and the nervous system.

There are seven main Chakras that line up on the middle spine, each is associated
with one of the seven endocrine glands, and also with a group of nerves called
plexus.

Thus, each Chakra can be associated with particular parts of the body and
particular functions within the body controlled by that plexus or that endocrine
gland.

Chakras represent not only particular parts of our physical body, but also
particular parts of our consciousness because all of our senses, perceptions, state
of mind and everything we experience, can be divided into seven categories.
Each category can be associated with a particular Chakra.

The Endocrine system consists of ductless glands that maintain homeostasis

and secrete hormones to regulate metabolic activities (along with the nervous
system).

There are seven primary endocrine glands line up with the Chakras on the middle
pillar:
1. The Pituitary gland
2. The Pineal gland
3. The Thyroid & parathyroid glands
4. The Thymus gland
5. The Pancreas
6. The Adrenal glands
7. The Gonads (testes in male and ovaries in female)

Meridians are the energetic equivalent of our blood vessels; instead of

transporting blood this system transports energy.

Human body has 12 main meridians function as conduits for energy to the organs.
Any blockages in the meridians influence the flow of energy and leads to
dissonance.

The lymphatic system function is to eliminate the products of cellular breakdown

and bacterial invasion enabling the body to fight infection.

It consists of thin tubes called ‘lymph vessels’ that carry liquid called ‘lymph’
and run throughout the body.

The ‘lymph’ is a milky fluid that contains a type of white blood cells, called
“lymphocytes”, along with proteins and fats.

There are more than 100 tiny, oval structures lymph nodes, mainly in the neck,
groin and armpits, but are scattered all along the lymph vessels. They act as
barriers to infection by filtering out and destroying toxins and germs. The largest
body of lymphoid tissue is the spleen.
