REASONS WHY THE MEDIA HIDE
INFORMATION
The media often does not tell the full truth about the killings
committed by the FARC for various reasons. These include the
group's territorial control, threats against journalists, media bias,
and focus on other news. As a result, FARC crimes go
unpunished, the public lacks knowledge about FARC violence, and
victims have no voice. It is important that the media accurately
report these killings in order to hold the FARC accountable, build
public support, and give the victims a voice.
