1) What kind of problem exists: supervisory or motivational or both?

Lenora is an inefficient and demotivated due to the previous experiences. We can


say that in this case both supervisory and motivational problem exists. Lenora
doesnt want to perform more than what she is paid for and this shows the
motivational side of problem. The fear of losing the job made her performance
more poor. Poor employee performace shows her supervisory side of problem,
which means that the employee are not handled well under the supervisors and the
organization.

2) What steps should Allison take to address the problem?

Alison needs to empower, engage and motivates the employees underher. Her
problem is that she is not able to train her staff below her. The two members below
her are sufficient but are not empowered. lenora is also not able to understand the
working of organization. so, the solution to this problem is that alison should
divide the work amoung the members and make them undergo the training
programs. This is how she will be able to motivate and supervise the emplyees
more effectively and efficiently.
