With the help of a diagram describes the process of communication.

Communication can be defined as a process of passing information, ideas and concepts from one
party to another through a specified medium or channel. The process of communication is a
cyclic process that goes through the following stages.
Stage 1: Conceptualization
At this stage the idea or information or concept to be communicated is created and framed in the
sender’s mind.
Stage 2: Channel Identification
At this stage the sender identifies the most appropriate and viable and available channel to
communicate their message.
Stage 3: Message Sending
Once the most appropriate channel of communication is identified then the sender encodes their
message and sends it via the channel.
Stage 4: Decoding phase
At this stage the recipient of the message receives and decodes the message and frames the
appropriate response.
