TIPS AND TRICKS


Paper 2 (Writing) Part 2 (ARTICLE ESSAY)

Analyse thoroughly
- Look for sentences/phrases that require you to give an answer (usually the
WH sentences)
- Underline all of them
- Determine what will your answer be to those questions
- Pay attention to singular/plural/how many answers you need to provide

Write in paragraphs
- Make sure your writing is coherent and in paragraphs
- Use CEE (content/elaboration/example) to write
- Start with an intro
o Essay – stating facts, general knowledge related to the topic
- Use CEE (content/elaboration/example) to write the body
- Write using different sentence structures – simple, compound, complex
- Connect sentences/ideas/words using linkers/sequence connectors/cohesive
devices
- Write a conclusion
