2)PublicInformation

PublicInformationprovidesvalidated,accurate,andtimelyreportsand
informationtothepublic.Theinformationisintendedtoempowerandeducatethe
communitytoavoidbeingvictimizedbycrimeandotheradverseelements.PIshallbe
purposivetothecommunitysafetyandsecuritytoencouragethemtoparticipateinan
informationchainthatreducesfearandeliminatetheprevalenceofcrime.Inconducting
PIactivities,PNPpersonnelshallbeguidedbythefollowing:
a)Eligible/TrainedPCADofficersshallleadincarryingoutPCAD
activitiesandeffortshighlightedinthisPNPMC;

b)Publicinformationactivitiesshallbeconductedprior,during,and
aftereveryactivitytosustainawarenessandtheimpacttothe
community;

c)Publicinformationshallutilizevariousplatformsortheappropriate
mediumsknownasTRIMPtoamplifyPNPnarrativessuchas:

c.2.Radio
c.3.Internet(SocialNetworkingSites)

c.4.Messaging(MobilePhones)
c.5.Print

d)Informationshallbeverifiedtobetrue,factualandapprovedbythe
supervisorspriortoitsdisseminationandpublicationtodifferent
platforms/individuals.Informationdisseminationcanbeintheform
of:

h)PNPpersonnelareonlyallowedtoreleaseinformationofverified
andvalidatedinformationonincidents.Speculationsasresponseto
interviewsshallbesubjectedtodisciplinaryactions;

8.ADMINISTRATIVESANCTIONS:
AnyviolationofthisMCorfailuretoimplementorcomplywiththeprovision
ofthisMCshallbeagroundfortheimpositionofadministrativesanctioninaccordance
withexistingpolicies,rulesandregulations.

9.REPEALINGCLAUSE:
ThePCRMasterPlan,LOlsSANTINIGandSAMBAYANof2002andall
issuances,memorandaandregulationsissuedbythePNPwhichareinconsistentwith
theprovisionsofthisMCareherebyrepealed.

10.EFFECTIVITY:

ThisMCshalltakeeffectafter15daysfromthefilingofacopythereofatthe
UPLawCenterinconsonancewithSections3and4ofChapter2,BookVIIof
ExecutiveOrderNumber292,otherwiseknownasthe"RevisedAdministrativeCodeof
1987,"asamended.
