- Bias is an act wherein we favored on a certain group of people, point of view

over another. This is done in an unfair way.

- if you are thinking positively of it, you are bias towards something or someone.

For ex: Bias TOWARDS women.

If you are thinking negatively of it, you are bias against something or someone.

For ex: Bias AGAINST women.

Let have another set of examples:

1. Pedro is a Catholic and he thinks that his religion is superior than other
religion. (Bias)
2.

Who can define prejudice? Any idea?

- Prejudice is an unfavorable opinion and assumption towards someone without

having enough reason and knowledge. It just simply means pre-judging others.

- it is usually negative attitude and it results in discrimination. Moreover, it can

also be in terms of race, age, gender, sexual orientation, class status, religion,
nationality, and so on..

- For ex: the homeless person in the video.

Let’s have another set of examples:

1. Muslim women are illiterate and uneducated.

2. Princess won the title of the pageant because her uncle is one of the judges.

Who can give an example of prejudice based on your experience if you have
one?

Do you think it is right to have biases or feel prejudice?

If you were to put yourself in the shoes of those people being discriminated how
would you feel?

How can we avoid being biased or feel prejudice against people?
