My interest in engineering emanates from my love for art.

Art, for me, is

an expression that di ers from words. Where words con ne me, a plain
blank canvas and a paintbrush present me with an avenue of endless
possibilities. While art is an expression of personal feelings and
emotions, engineering is an expression of impersonal creativity. I nd
the journey of ideas that led to the wheel's invention to the Ferrari
thrilling because of the broadness of their impact.

Drawing sketches for my projects in the Robotics lab, I always nd

myself complimenting the aesthetics behind massive mechanical
systems. I admire the artists behind the elegant structures ranging from
the pyramids of Giza to the Large Hadron Collider. Engineering is art
with enormous applications in the real world, and engineers are artisans
who continue to change the world. I aspire to become a part of this
change.
