Towards the future.
What is the biggest fear of every future artist? How to start your artistic
career after finishing your professional studies? How to launch into the
professional world?

The idea that accompanies every art student at the end of his
career is, what do I do now?

The fear of failure and of not knowing if we will find our place in
the artistic world accompanies us and sometimes stops us in
our creations. We think that everything we need to continue in
art is out there, but we don't know how to go about it. We leave
school and most of the time we focus on doing what we think
sells instead of fighting for something new with which we really
feel identified.

But, what would happen if we had the opportunity to experience

what we believe before finally launching into it?

Fears would go from our heads. We would go out into the

professional world with our own aesthetics that would be
accompanied by previous experience. We would know what the
public really thinks of our art and we can realize what doesn't
really work. And all this from a safe space for creation. From the
place that has formed us to be the artists that we are

Why not try it?

they would experiment with their own aesthetics.

meet throughout the artistic process as well as a
world. budget of 3,000 euros to be able to get their piece off
the ground.

In addition, the creators would experience teaching in

their own flesh, since during the time that the residence
lasted, they would give some workshops to the students
of the school in which they could learn about the
professional world and what are the new forms of
creation. REGR(ESAD)

The project.

This would be very interesting when it comes to

complementing their training and seeing what happens
once they finish their studies.

And, what would be the final touch of a residence?

The five pieces will be presented in different spaces in

the city of Valladolid. Each one will have the opportunity
to take place for two days in spaces such as the Calderón
Theater, the LAVA Theater, the Zorrilla Theater, the
Science Museum and the Theater and Street Arts Festival
(TAC).

In this way, the creators and participants of the residence

will be able to give visibility to their projects and the
Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Castilla y León will
promote the activities it carries out for its students and
alumni.
