INTRODUCTION
The following instructions have been prepared for the start-up and operation of
the Dual pressure Nitric Acid Plant for DFPCL at Taloja, India. M/s. Deepak
Fertilizers ( DFPCL) has shifted an existing 450 TPD Weak Nitric Acid plant from
Europe (Denmark) to India.
The instructions included here in are based on existing operating manual for
Denmark plants. However, there are few changes in plant and operating
conditions, due to differences between changed ambient conditions compared to
the original plant that was designed based on ambient conditions in Denmark
A sound knowledge of the process remains the first and most essential pre-
requisite for proper operation of the plant.
The instructions given in the present operating manual are guidelines and cannot
be considered as definitive operating standards.
