𝐏𝐀𝐖𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐞𝐭 𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞

The Tagum City Youth Development Office (TCYDO) launched the first Pawshion
Show Competition on May 21, 2021 at the Energy Park, Barangay Apokon, Tagum
City.

The said event was one of the activities that the TCYDO implemented for the Youth
Festival 2021, intended to showcase the creativity of the Tagumenyo youth pet
owners in styling their pets.

According to Hon. City Mayor Allan Lopez Rellon, he was really happy that the pet
owners who participated in the said competition showed resiliency and happiness
despite the pandemic that is happening right now, saying this event was unique and
something new to the audiences that may bring pride and joy to the city.

"I commend the minds of those people who conceptualized and inspired [this event],
and to the part of the organising team and the participants. Indeed, this is one of the
highlights of the Youth Festival for the year 2021," he states.

The said competition had a total of 14 dogs competing beside their owners in their
own fashion extravaganza.

The competition was also divided into three categories which are the small breeds,
medium breeds, and the large breeds-- each category having its own set of winners
picked by the board of judges.

Dr. Dezzel Canete, a veterinarian and also one of the judges, stated that she was
filled with joy as the pet owners participated in the competition and showcased their
sense of fashion and artistry with their pets, encouraging them to join again in the
years to come.

Furthermore, pet owners also lauded the efforts of the city government and the
TCYDO in organizing the first season of the competition.

"I would like to thank the admin, staff, and sponsors because this event was created
to showcase the talents of our pets and how to style them," Mr. Renante Mula, the
winner of the small breed category, stated in an interview.

Before the conclusion of the event, the National Youth Commission also visited the
area and conveyed significant insights about the competition.
