LETTER OF PROTEST
Dear Sirs,

DELAY DUE TO INHERENT VICES OF THE CARGO

This is to inform you about extensive delay in the discharge operation whereby additional
Crude Oil Washing has had to be performed due to excessive sludging of the cargo.
It was essential to conduct this extra Crude Oil Washing in order to minimize the ROB
cargo and to ascertain maximum outturn.
For above mentioned reason and on behalf of my Owner I reject all liability for the extended
period of Crude Oil Washing. I hereby reserve the rights of my Principals to consider all
delay caused by the nature of cargo which is beyond our control, as running laytime even if
in excess of C/P terms.
