b. Explain the following lines in a sentence.
“I am the master of my fate,/I am the captain of my soul.
- This means that I am the one who controls my life not other people, not their opinion,
not their ways.

“Under the bludgeonings of chance / My head is bloody, but unbowed.”


- I maybe suffering, troubled, or challenge in life, I would never give up and would strive
harder.
c. Discuss in three sentences the general message of the poem.
- The general meaning of the poem is that life is not easy, we will always encounter
challenges out of our control. It may be hard but we should never give up and keep
fighting. Most importantly we are the one who is responsible of our life, we must not let
other people control us.
