DREAM PLACE :

THE CÍES
ISLANDS
The Cíes Islands are a Spanish group of island located in the province of Pontevedra, at
the mouth of the Vigo estuary, and it´s formed by three islands: Monteagudo ,do Faro
and San Martín. It´s popular with tourists because they offert us some great beaches.

These islands are mountainous with cliffs about 100 meters high and many caves. In
the inner part of the island we can find lush forests with many bushes and some trees
such as the eucalyptus and pine.We can also find some rural houses here. Then we
have the coast. The sand is very white and soft and on the shore you can find its
famous shells that many tourists collect as souvenirs. there are also some food stalls,
but they obviously sell fish and seafood like octopus, barnacles…

It is a northern island, so it is not too hot and the water is very cool and clear. I would
describe it as a relaxing, quiet and picturesque place. Furthermore, in february 2007
the British newspaper The Guardian chose the beach of Rhodes as the best beach in
the world. You shouldn´t miss it.
