QUESTION ONE

In order to understand cyber laws, as scholars we need to first understand the history of the
medium that has made cybercrimes more common in today’s world. The internet is thus the
channel through which crimes are mainly committed. Explore with relevant examples why
the internet has made cybercrimes so rampant.

QUESTION TWO

Explain with relevant examples why conventional laws cannot be used to prosecute one that
has committed a cyber offense such as password cracking?

QUESTION THREE

Two laptop computers sharing files between them using Bluetooth connection can be said to
have created a cyber space. With illustrations show why this statement is true. Can this kind
of the cyber space be compared to the one wireless connection through wireless fidelity (Wi-
Fi) creates; give reasons for your answer.

With relevant examples show the important points in a networked environment where you
would go on to deploy the different security systems you have learnt in the course to reduce
the likelihood of a network cybercrime.

Zambia is part and parcel of the cyberspace, whether we have active cyber laws or not it is necessary
to actively subscribe to them. Zambia must therefore copy to other nations like India or the United
States of America that have worked tireless to ensure full cooperation of all netizens. Outline the
salient features that are found in the ICT Act of 2000 of India. Show why cyber laws are necessary to
ensure a smooth run of a nation like Zambia.
