1. Share with your groupmates how are the terms related to the present state of the country's
environment.
In not being able to just turn a blind eye and reject what the present state of the country's
environment is going through, I have known that the words are linked to natural calamities and
human duty in safeguarding nature and caring for the environment. This country is indeed prone
to natural disasters leading to the results of life being killed by more than a hundred people yet,
the government still lets the natural environment suffer from degradation. Rivers are now
polluted due to abuse and neglect and this act may also cause the environment to have the
humans payback for the risks that they have done. Rather than the government, non-
governmental aroups have taken the lead in environmental preservation. Still. there are non-
governmental organizations that are not funded, yet continue to protect and maintain the
environment. The tragedies and hazards will further be lessened if everyone cares about the
environment.

on our environment. Distress could be either man-made or natural. and risk is the threat that the
catastrophe may bring. From the fact of the government alone is not enough to bring tranquility
or is not able to fully protect and guard both people and the natural environment, non-
