This document discusses analyzing gender influence on the adoption and use of information and communication technology (ICT) in public secondary schools in Ethiopia. It notes that while ICT adoption is important for education, performance in developing countries like Ethiopia remains poor, and women's access to ICT in secondary schools contributes to underperformance despite their important role. The problem statement observes low female student participation in ICT use in public schools, a lack of recognition of ICT advantages for female students, and lack of support for female students to use ICT. The objective is to explore gender influence on ICT adoption and use in public secondary schools, with the research question asking if gender difference determines ICT adoption and use.

Title: Analyze Gender Influence on Adoption and Use of Information and Communication
Technology in Public Secondary Schools in Ethiopia
Introduction In the world, adopting and using Information technologies is seen as an important tool to increase educational efficiency, reduce illiteracy, and improve skill. However, the performance of the educational sector in many developing countries including Ethiopia is rated as very poor and is the most vulnerable sector to educate society. Furthermore, the underperformance of the education sector has been partially attributed to women’s inability to access ICT in secondary school, despite their role as students being a crucial player in ICT development and Ethiopian economy. Problem of statement: here is some problem that I observed in my career at public secondary school. As we know in our country there are many public secondary school but the participation of female student in use of ICT is very low. Some public secondary school does not recognize advantage of teaching female student ICT. In rare case at some public secondary schools the leader and school member doesn’t support and facilitate female students to use ICT. In most rural area there is some bad believe female student have no ability to use technology such belief create great gap in society in order to avoid such thought. Female students have many factor that inhibit them from actively accessing information technology, so how can we reduce such gender influence and improve public school quality for use of ICT. There is no analyzed and stated gender influence on adoption and use of ICT in public secondary schools. Objective: My study mainly will aim to explore gender influence in information technology adoption and use of information communication technology in the public secondary schools in Ethiopia. From the above observation I wish to form question RQ1 Does gender difference determine the adoption and use of information communication technology in public secondary school.
