Good afternoon, I am Christopher A. Alga and Denesse


Cabigon. It is our pleasure to announce the winners of the
photo essay. The winners of the photo essay category really
gave their efforts in capturing and editing the pictures which
resulted in an informative photograph that fits the theme
"Sensitizing the USTP Community to the Importance of Media
and Information Literacy."

The winner of this award has shown exceptional skill in using


photography to convey deep emotions and insights imbuing a
shot with a deeper meaning about the issues related to Media
and Information Literacy such as digital security,
cyberbullying, press freedoms, and others.

Allow me to read the guidelines and criteria for judging the


Photo Essay.

Guidelines:
1. The contest is open to all Grade 11 students
enrolled in Media and Information Literacy class of USTP
CDO Campus.
2. The photo essay should be composed of 8 to 10
photos only.
3. The color of the photos can be enhanced using
photo editing software.
4. Participants should use photos that are originally
taken by them. In relation to this, fill out the Declaration
of Originality.
5. Accomplish the description ofphoto essay
template. Write a description of the photo essay in 3 to 5
sentences. Follow the naming convention of the
description template document: Name of the Section,
Topic, Description of Photo Essay (for example: Love,
Cybersecurity, Description of Photo Essay)
6. The photo essay entry should be in a slideshow
format either .JPEG or .MP4 file type. Follow the naming
convention of the entry: Name of the Section, “Title of
the Photo Essay,” Topic (for example: Love, “Password,”
Cybersecurity)
7. The submission of the photo essay entry will be
done through Google Drive. Along with the entry are the
declaration of originality, and the description of photo

8. Entries with incomplete details and documents
will be subject for disqualification.
9. The deadline is on June 5, 2023, 5 PM
10. It is the participant’s responsibility to know these
rules. A submission outside of these guidelines will not
be accepted.

Good afternoon, I am AG Shun Clark A. Aparece and Tezza


Jaynielle C. Rojo. It is our pleasure to announce the winners
for Social Media Campaign.
First of all, I want to congratulate all of the contestants in this
competition. You all did a great job on making a social media
campaign. Thank you for creating a socially informative
campaign that surely will be a medium on what Media and
Information Literacy are all about.

The winners of this award have undoubtedly utilized the


internet and technology in creating such an incredible social
media campaign, a campaign that deals with the issues
related to Media and Information Literacy such as digital
security, cyberbullying, press freedoms, and others.

The winners have exceptionally created a campaign that


resonates and impacted people on the importance of Media
and Information Literacy.

Allow me to read the guidelines and criteria for judging


the Photo Essay.
1. A participating team from each section of Grade
11 must produce an original social media campaign
(through a social media post), which will be posted or
uploaded on a newly-created Facebook page.
2. Give a name of the Facebook page that will reflect
the campaign.
3. The campaign must focus on the topic assigned
to the respective sections.
4. The campaign shall be through a single hashtag
with a brief but comprehensive explanation. The
explanation must be reflected either in the caption or in
the supporting material of the post (infographic,
slideshow, etc.)
5. Participants may share and promote their
campaigns through other means except boosting.
6. The campaigns will run for a week starting 6 a.m.
of May 29 to 6 p.m. of June 5, 2023.
7. Participating teams must accomplish the
Description of Social Media Campaign Entry document
and submit it to Google Drive through the link provided.
8. Take a screenshot of the posted campaigns
including engagement figures (reactions, comments,
shares, post reach) and submit it to Google Drive
through the link provided. Make sure that the screenshot
is clear.
9. Deadline of submission is on June 5, 2023

CRITERIA:
1. MESSAGE (40%) -Relevance of the post/content to the
assigned MIL topic.
2. DIGITAL IMPACT (40%) -The social post/content

media tools is appealing and attention-grabbing.

Good afternoon, I am John Reese Kalaw and Jamaica A.


Anora. It is our pleasure to announce the winners of 1 minute
short film. This category gives an opportunity for students to
showcase their creativity and understanding of what
constitutes Media and Information Literacy and its underlying
issues and concerns. (adlib)

Allow me to read the mechanics of this category.


Guidelines:
1. The contest is open to all Grade 11 students
enrolled in the Media and Information Literacy class AY
2022 - 2023 of USTP Cagayan de Oro.
2. All creative endeavors including but not limited to:
scriptwriting, directing, shooting, editing, and musical
scoring must be done by the team members.
3. All footage must be shot. Other existing footage,
however, may be used as a prop or a set piece in a
scene.
4. Each film must be no longer than 60 seconds/1
minute. Opening and/or closing credits are not required,
but if added may add up to an additional 10 seconds in
total.
5. Films may be in any language or have no dialogue
at all. Non-English audio (and important on-screen text)
must have English subtitles.
6. Any type of equipment capable of filming may be
used. Animation and computer graphics are also
permitted.
7. The short film must be submitted in HD MP4 file
format and must be played using standard film/video
programs such as Windows Media Player and VLC
Player.
8. The films must not be viewed publicly before the
end of the competition.
9. Usage of pre-recorded music is allowed but must
have the proper acknowledgment in the credits of the
film.
Submission of entries:
10. The group shall submit the registration form
indicating the names of the production team and their
respective roles. The duly accomplished registration
form shall be submitted together with the following:

11. By signing and submitting the registration form,


the team agrees to abide by the contest guidelines and
by the final decision of the panel of judges.

deadline will be disqualified to join the contest but their
films will still be included in the screening.
13. Entries with incomplete details and documents
will be subject to disqualification.
14. It is the participants’ responsibility to know the
guidelines. A submission outside of the guidelines will
not be accepted.

its dialogue, plot structure, character development, and

the exceptional visual aesthetics and camera work in a short
film, including composition, lighting, color grading, and overall

to promising new filmmakers who show great potential and
talent in short film production. The Emerging Filmmakers
