Cellular respiration of the
hummingbird and the area it
inhabits
- The type of respiration of the
hummingbird is aerobic, in this process to
obtain energy by consuming glucose.

- The hummingbird lives in temperate and

topical zones, since they do not survive in
cold temperatures. Due to this, that is why
they make migration trips to achieve this
objective. They are native bird of Central
America.
Source of calories
and proteins in the
hummingbird
Its food is essential for flower nectar to have
enough calories to allow it to fly. They eat small
insects such as spiders, ants, wasps for the choice
of proteins. This is rich in energy due to the simple
sugars it contains.
Behavior of the
hummingbird
(communication system) and
its reproduction.
- Hummingbirds are not very sociable, they are
aggressive when protecting their food and territory,
although despite this they are charming.

- Their communication is through short or long sounds,

the buzzing of the wings during their flight is part of
their communication. The young usually make sounds
depending on the situation in which it is.

- Their reproduction begins when the male does a

dance to attract the attention of a female, once
fertilized they build a nest. The female lays 2 eggs,
brooding them for 14 to 19 days. When the mothers are
born they feed them for several weeks.
