Many of our students are involved in lots of activities: sports, drama, dance, music,
art. Some children do their homework better at school. We officially finish our classes
at 3:10 p.m., but if you walk through the school after that time, you’ll see students
everywhere. It’s a safe environment, and parents are happy that their children are
here. When they get involved in those activities, they learn how to mix with different
ages, work as a team, and be self-confident, and these are valuable lessons.

I have drama on Tuesdays and piano classes on Fridays. I also help my mother with
her music club on Thursdays. A lot of what I do is outside of school, but my school
offers many things, from sports to ICT to science. A lot of my friends go to after-
school clubs, but I don’t. I’m in my final year and I have a lot of studying to do.

There’s a lot to do where I live. My son, who’s 14, can go to computer classes after
school every night if he wants. He goes to a group called Shape Up on Thursdays
that does everything healthy. On Fridays, we all go to a youth group. On Mondays, I
do a digital media class with my son. My daughter goes to gymnastics and drama on
Tuesdays. We’re a pretty active family.
