Restablishing The Ethics of IPL: Matchfixing, Sportsmanship
and its Evolution into a Business
DESCRIPTION:
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket
league in India contested by eight teams based in eight Indian cities.
The league was founded by the Board of Control for Cricket in India
(BCCI) in 2008. The IPL is the most-watched cricket league in the
world and is one of the most-attended sporting events in the world.
The IPL MUN committee will be a simulation of the IPL governing
council. Delegates will represent the eight IPL teams and will work
together to make decisions about the league.

The International Press (IP) refers to the body of delegates who act as
journalists and reporters during the conference. The primary function
of the International Press is to report on the proceedings of the
conference, conduct interviews with delegates, and write articles or

developments within the committees. They act as a bridge between
the MUN participants and the wider MUN community, disseminating
information and insights to delegates and observers. The IP delegates
represent various media outlets from around the world, such as
newspapers, magazines, television networks, and online platforms.
Their primary objective is to provide comprehensive coverage of the
MUN conference, including the debates, negotiations, and resolutions
that take place within the committees.
