The Documentary on Making the Project.


The purpose of the documentary is to create awareness and to announce the
album. We try to be different, instead of just announcing the album by tweet or
post, we are going to add value to it by shooting a short 10 to 15 minutes
documentary that will detail the making of the album, the track listing and the
release date. The documentary will contain Q&A bout the tape, snippets of the
recording, mixing and mastering process, including how some features
happened.
In addition, family and friends interviewed will be about the life of Mega EJ.

There will be a total breakdown of the entire tape by Mega EJ (Handled by


Interviewer), so all could relate to the inspiration behind the tape. The
documentary will serve as a marketing tool for the tape and The PMF Music.
The documentary will be in two parts,
One being short and brief – Cut highlights of the full documentary, compiled to
encourage people in procuring the album.
And the other being the main full descriptive documentary, comprising of
interviews, recording process, day to day life relating to the album, message
from friends and family,

NB. All the songs on the mixtape will have a music video. The songs with
listed featured artists will have their separate videos; the other songs will
appear on the short film.
BLOOD AND DAISIES. 

PERFORMANCES/LYRICS VIDEO
 One-minute skit videos. (INSPIRED BY Lucky Dae)
 All songs on the Tape should have Performance/Lyric
videos/Visualizers
 The videos will be in two forms. A clean version and an explicit version. 

The idea is to boost algorithms on YouTube, Social Media and also be a tool
for online marketing like Instagram story ads, YouTube ads n etc. 

Other versions of the gathered videos will be uploaded on our YouTube


channel on monthly bases. 

Clean versions used will be to run paid ads on YouTube and social media
since all the platforms require no explicit content in ads. 

There will be 1-minute skit videos of every song. The video will be a
captivating film of Mega EJ to the song, in other words a performance shot of
the best part of each song. An attention grabbing video on all social media will
help boost the streaming numbers when the project drops. We will run a
weekly campaign of these skits on social media platforms. In total will be 12
ad videos in 5 months targeting our demographics.

THE PROPOSED RELEASE PROCESS. 


The entire tape will be on limited CDs and Flash drive. These products will go
on sale at a pop-up event in Accra, before the actual release date of the tape
on DSPs. The idea is to create urgency by selling a reasonable amount of the
physical copies. I proposed we run this campaign 3 to 4 weeks before the
release date on the DSPs. However, the project will be on pre order and pre
save on all streaming platforms. Therefore, as we sell the physical copies we
will announce the pre order and pre save campaign.

Cover Shoots and Album Art


Album photo shoot and cover arts works done must be in Ghana - Done

Artwork, Song Mastering and Track Listing and titles all


ready by December 13th for the sake of making physical
copies and other promotional products. 

Merchandise Designs
All merchandise designs and concepts must be ready for production by
December 30th. 
We need to hire graphic designs and creatives to work with us in creating the
merch designs. Quote(400-1000ghc)

WEBSITE AND MEDIA


The official website needs to be ready before the tape drops. That will serve
as a test before the project. Domain purchase.

Website development
The website: The website will have a shop, where all march and all-season
products will be sold
A music page that will focus on Mega EJ discography, this page will have the
artist EPK
An alternate media page.
The website will also serve as platform to build our email list and online
fanbase

Official Short Film shoot start December 28th till January


2022
The short film will feature all songs from the tape. A story line will be written
for those songs in one piece. 

The film shoot starts when all audio works on the project is done. We will work
with (KNOWN) and other directors to make this happen.
Release Structure, Marketing & PR

We will need about 3 PR companies, each one in regions with our most
fanbase. 
Africa (GH) Focus PR & Marketing - ~ Budgeted $2500

Europe (UK) Focus PR & Marketing: $1000

America (USA) focus Marketing & PR- $1000

We will release one (1) single before the actual release date. This will help
build momentum and provide window for effective marketing.

First Single Release in February 4th


1st Single (On God) with Video (a captivating song, something like an
attention grabber)

Single Video budget- 17,000 GHC.

Listening party for industry heads And Media ONLY!! On


February 18th 2022 (live-stream and Film the session,
grant interviews and reviews from industry heads n
friends who attended the listening party)

Officially Announce the upcoming project after the


listening party. Send all bloggers and PR company’s pre-
release notice. 
Share the review and interviews from the listening party on social media on
the October 28th 2021 This will serve as a marketing tool as well. Fans like to
know what other artists and influencers are saying about their colleague’s
work.

The total budget for the listening party is 9,000 GHC.

Pre-Order & Pre-Save on DSPs

Pre-order and Pre-save Link shared Apple Music with Tape track listings on
the 27th and 28th of February 2022
Tape Release Date and short Trailers (Video) on February
29TH 2022. Same day is pop up shop, Merch signing/Meet
and Greets.  Pop up shop at “Lokko” house or other
location for the day, 11am to 7pm.

Radio and Tv Tour Week 1

March 3th New Music/Video.


4th through to 11th March 2022: selected radio and tv interviews. 

Mega EJ and Friends Intimate Afro-fusion Concert on 18th March. You’ll


perform the entire tape. This event will be announced way before the date and
preparation goes along. 

17th March 2022 - Tape release.
